Gender and Disaster Network (GDN) Bangladesh Country Hub (Sub Heading)
UN Women Bangladesh and Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies (IDMVS), University of Dhaka launched Gender and Disaster Network (GDN) Bangladesh Country Hub at RC Majumdar Arts Auditorium (First floor of Lecture Theatre building), Dhaka University Campus on 11 March, 2018 UN Women Bangladesh and IDMVS in consultation with the global GDN decided to launch a Bangladesh Hub of the network to push the gender agenda forward in the disaster management context on the country. In the GDN Bangladesh Hub, individuals, organizations and institutions (government and non – government) working on gender and disaster management issues are acting as the key members. The GDN Bangladesh Hub added value to GDN globally as well as the equitable and sustainable development agenda of the country. The network is a knowledge sharing and advocacy platform to promote gender issues more effectively in Bangladesh.
