dRi conducted a total of 2500 interviews in a total of sixteen districts and BMET training centers in the Dhaka region. In addition to the survey, FGD and KII were also conducted to understand the real situation that the workers pass through while going to different countries. The main objectives of the project were to find out the Average cost of recruitment in 2017, perception of availability of support services, with equal access for women and men workers,
awareness among migrant workers of services provided by Government of Bangladesh and recruitment agencies, Reduction of impediments for effective service delivery based on KAP, initiatives taken for reduction of impediments for effective service delivery, number of complaints resolved through conciliation or sanction, migrant workers’ perception of labor market information availability, percentage of women migrant workers aware of different occupations in receiving countries, quality of pre-departure training/orientation improved as perceived by workers.
