The study under the project titled “Enhancing the participation of community based organizations (CBOs) and CSOs in democratic governance in Bangladesh Project”, implemented by CPD and Oxfam and funded by the European Union, aimed to assess the effectiveness of delivering Social Safety Net Programs (SSNPs) by the Local Government Institutions. The study adopted a mixed method approach where both quantitative and qualitative method has been used. Study covered 12 unions under 12 upazilas of 4 districts (Nilphamari, Rangpur, Kurigram and Gaibandha) under Ranpur division. For the quantitative study, total sample was 1500 HHs. In addition to that, 24 FGDs and 28 KIIs had been conducted.
