Bangladesh is also growing rapidly due to smart use of technology to drive a digital transformation. In attaining digital achievements, the country has been on right track since the announcement of the mission of “Digital Bangladesh” by the Government of Bangladesh. In some years of the announcement, people of Bangladesh are enjoying digital benefits almost in every sector. Although the government of Bangladesh is working relentlessly to ease the lives and livelihoods of the countrymen blessed with digital opportunities, but still the country is struggling to bring all the individuals, specially marginalized communities under the digital phenomenon.
Considering the fact, Aspire to Innovate (a2i) Programme, a special programme of the government’s Digital Bangladesh agenda, is undertaking different interventions and therefore, going to administer a research project. The core objective of the research is to highlight the digital life of marginalized people in Bangladesh. Assigned by a2i, dRi conducted 32 case studies on different categories of marginalized people considering their vulnerabilities in terms of poverty, physical condition and geographic location (hard to reach areas).
