Women’s contribution is under-represented in Bangladesh and studies have shown that if paid and unpaid work performed by women was taken into account women’s contribution to GDP would be much higher. So, the objective of this study was to estimate the economic value of women’s unaccounted activities and make recommendations in order to address the issue in terms of formulation of national strategies to include women’s contribution to the economy. dRi’s role was to collect survey data from approximately 6,000 households and 12,000 respondents from 64 districts of Bangladesh.
