This study focused on identifying existing legal, policy framework and institutions in relation to food security and inflation. The study sought impact of food price hike in lives of urban poor, available safety net programs, how they cope with it and what can be the most suitable options to support the urban poor. In line with the study conducted in Dhaka, the present study concentrated on urban poor people living in Chittagong and Sylhet.
