Palli Karma Shahayak Foundation (PKSF) launched a community development-based program named ENRICH (Enhancing Resources and Increasing Capabilities of poor Household towards Elimination of their Poverty) since 2010. This research project was initiated with the central focus of research is to understand the ENRICH programme in relation to alternative national and international approaches and in particular to locate this analysis in a broader understanding of the wider concern with human freedoms, capabilities AND human dignity. This research study focuses on the 35 Upazilas selected for phase one and phase two of the ENRICH programme. The research was completed in three phases.
The first and very intensive phase of work developed a detailed plan for data collection, data analysis and report preparation has been prepared which will precede and run alongside the second phase of work. The data report, together with further fieldwork in phase two will form a main basis for the Study Report to be prepared and presented by the end of phase three, later this year. Development Research Initiative (dRi) was assigned to complete the primary data collection from the field and provide assistance to the core research team in data processing and analysis. The study adopted mixed method approach where both quantitative and qualitative tools were used to collect data.
