The Independent Evaluation Department (IED) has undertaken an evaluation to assess the relevance, responsiveness and results of ADB’s support for gender and development. The evaluation also seeks to identify lessons and recommendations for the implementation of existing and possible new ADB’s gender strategy and interventions, particularly in line with the preparation of ADB’s Strategy 2030. It covers projects and programs during 2005-2015, with a focus on the period 2009-2015 to follow up on IED’s previous evaluations on gender. The study has followed a mix method approach and dRi is responsible for instrument development, data collection and preparation of a report on the cross-country analysis of the selected projects’ gender impacts based on data gathered from beneficiaries.
