Good People International, in collaboration with Orbis International Bangladesh, conducted a mixed-methods Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (KAP) study on eye health among professional bus drivers in Dinajpur and Mymensingh. The study examined drivers’ knowledge of common eye conditions and available services, attitudes toward eye examinations, spectacle use, cataract treatment and licence-linked vision screening, actual care-seeking practices, barriers and facilitators to accessing eye care, use of driving aids, and broader traffic-safety KAP. The research aimed to generate actionable evidence to support future screening, referral, and awareness interventions for this occupational group. dRi was engaged to implement the full mixed-methods study, including tool development, venue-based sampling, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
