Recently in collaboration with SOAS University of London and a2i, dRi has conducted a research project to investigate the impact of digitisation on the efficiency of providing trade license services as well as to understand how digitisation affects asymmetric power and asymmetric information between Government and citizens. This comprehensive research provides valuable insights into the landscape of trade licensing in Bangladesh. Based on the findings of the study, a working paper has been published with the title ‘The Persistence of Informal Practices and Payments in Digitalised Government Services: A Scoping Study of Trade Licensing in Bangladesh’ authored by a team of experts including our very own Dr. Munshi Sulaiman, Wazida Hasan and Zabir Hossain.
