The Multi-Stakeholder Initiative for Peace and Stability (MIPS) is a five-year project of The Hunger Project Bangladesh, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and implemented in partnership with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES). The project works across 96 Upazilas in 32 districts to promote peaceful co-existence and collective action against political, religious, and ethnic violence through community-led peace platforms. As part of MIPS monitoring and evaluation efforts, dRi conducted a mixed-method perception and satisfaction survey. The study examined stakeholders’ knowledge, attitudes, practices, and experiences regarding democracy, violence prevention and mitigation, and the effectiveness, sustainability, and stakeholder satisfaction with MIPS peacebuilding initiatives (including Peace Facilitator Groups, Youth Peace Ambassador Groups, WAVE platforms, and interfaith networks). dRi carried out a nationwide quantitative perception survey together with qualitative data collection through KIIs, FGDs, Most Significant Change (MSC) stories, and inspiring stories. The study generated important evidence on the impact of MIPS initiatives in promoting peace and social harmony.
