FSG, known for its work in driving social impact through innovative strategies, launched an initiative to accelerate just industry transitions in Bangladesh by 2030. Backed by a philanthropic funder, the project targeted the Construction cluster—encompassing Construction, Brick-making, Cement, and Steel—due to its significant climate impact and workforce vulnerability during climate transitions. As part of the project, dRi conducted extensive qualitative research, including 36 worker interviews, 46 value chain actor interviews, and 8 focus group discussions (FGDs), to explore the context, preferences, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors of key stakeholders in these sectors. This research contributed to a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities for a sustainable industry transition.
